Description

Before driving Albert home, Tim stops at a liquor store and buys a 6 pak of beer. Then they drive out of town towards Albert's home. As the visit back and forth, a rapport soon develops and they find they are quite comfortable in each others company. Shortly before they get to Alberts, he suggest to Tim they stop by an old haunt of his. A lonely old tree back off the road aways he used to come to and dream of a better life. They drive out to the tree. Tim backs up closer to it. They get out and in the course of some more visiting, Tim offers Albert one of his beers. Albert doesn't know what to do. His parents have never had alcohol around the house. He has never been exposed to it before, although he does know what it is. Well, he is curious. Perhaps one beer won't hurt. But he does let Tim know this. Tim, at first incredulous, takes the news in stride. He sees this fine looking young man is quite naive as to the ways of the world. Tim pulls a couple cans from his six pak, pops the tops and hands one to Albert. Albert thanks him and takes a sip. 'Terrible tasting stuff, Tim!' he says. 'Its an acquired taste, I guess.' says Tim.
