Description
Nar'zekfryn was tested by Mara, using magical means and his story was found to be true. Once it was confirmed his intentions of never returning to drow society were sincere, he and Shandara began training together. By the end of the first day the seasoned professionals developed a graceful paired sword dance that was both beautiful and deadly. In the days that followed the team of rogue drow devestated several goblin patrols. The pairs effect on goblin moral was so troubling to the drow priestesses, they sent out drow hunter/killer teams to eliminate them. As team after team failed, not only to kill the pair, but to return at all, the priestesses grew worried goblin moral and dwindling drow numbers to keep them in line, might result in a mutiny. Having already lost several of their ruling priestesses and scores of drow, the remaining priestesses decided they would fall back and regroup the following day. They should not have waited. That evening, in what would later be referred to as "The Night of the Long Knives", the pair of epic assassins ended the drow invasion. No alarm was ever called. Not a sound was heard. The next morning, the remainig drow priestesses and their mages, were all found dead. The drow still alive, abandoned their goblin fodder to fend for themselves and retreated back to the underdark. Once without drow leadership to order them on, the goblin army quickly disbanded into tribal groups, scattering in all directions. The drow invasion of the drarven mines ended before the stronghold was ever even breached. Ironically and for the most part, they were stopped dead in their tracks, by two of their own. Enjoy, -Arakas
