She is no longer safe, and feels unloved and unwanted where she is, yet my parents (who have custody of her) are refusing to listen to her; they refuse to acknowledge that this is what my daughter needs to heal from her traumas and return to the happy, healthy child she once was.~ For those who want more info, or wish to be kept in the loop (so to speak) of what is going on, please feel free to message me here. I apologize for not posting an image yesterday, life threw another curveball, in this case, in the form of a fuzzball! Our landlady had some guys over to replace the porch this weekend, and on Saturday, while they were ripping up the rotten wood, they discovered five kittens curled up under the porch. Well, we kept an eye on them, but that night, MamaKitty returned and moved all but one of the kittens. When my husband and I awoke on Sunday morning, there was this pitiful crying coming from the last kitten, who was shivering uncontrollably... and my heart completely melted. I would not, nor could I, let it stay there and freeze to death. I knew from the previous day's actions, that Mama would NOT return until late evening if not later, and by then it would be too late for this one without her siblings to help keep her warm. So, we now have an un-weaned approx 3 week old kitten. i took some of the little bit of money i had been squirreling away for travel expenses for the court date and bought a kitten bottle and kitten formula for the baby. through trial and error, i have learned how to care for a wee fuzzball; replacing MamaKitty (although my respect for animal mothers has gone through the roof!), and baby and i have learned all about bottle-feeding a tiny kitten! Anyways, its in honor of baby kitty and my darling daughter (who is as soft-hearted, if not more so, as I am when it comes to animals), that I chose this particular image today....
