Harmonia quadripunctata on ivy flower bud
The beetles are 5.5 to six millimeters long. They are yellowish or pale red and have either black or bright points with eight other black, only slightly smaller dots to be detected, on the deck wings (elytra). In addition, bright lines between the points are distributed. Their names have the bugs of the pronotum distributed in broad, four large black spots, which sometimes coalesce into lines. The beetle occur in jaw forests (from the lowland in the hill country) from southern Northern Europe to south Europe. On the British islands the ladybird of point of four is to be found only isolated.
