I am upset and I mean upset,at the renderosity site notification and the way things get changed ,regardless of the meaning of the community.
This is what I wrote as answer :
i just say one more thing,you must give the user the opportunity to choose between a daily digest or ebots.
if this will not be the case then you leave me no choice but to restrict my activities here.no more uploads from my part,no more interaction no more feedback.and i will only keep my account for the shop.
in 2010 i bought for over 2500.-( two thousand five hundert) dollars,
and now in 2011 in october i already hit the 2500.- dollar again and will maybe reach the 3.000.-.this money i will cut down in the future on this site and i will spend in other 3d-marketplaces.
i dont need this to impose me a rythm of work wich i dont agree with, and you take the fun out of the community with unnecessary changes.
i am really sorry to write this and it hurts me,and i am sure i will not be the only one who feels the same.
for a lot of people this is the place they get their fun and interaction with fellow artists and friends,sharing their little precious moments and works ,and you should go and follow the need of these,your customers and ease the way and not put stones into our path,so please reconsider this or at least give everyone the opportunity to switch on wich way he/she wants to be notified.
a lot of our fellow artists are high in age so to speak and cannot switch and change habits the way you change a t-shirt in the morning,a lot of people are sick and can only be here a couple of hours now and then,they will be lost in the jungle of changes really.

now I would like you people to join and post in the threat on the frontpage your opinion about this,and hopefully they listen if not I assure you I will leave,we must stand up and not sit and say well well well,everyday a bit of joy is taken away beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
All over the planet joy and fun are getting restricted and now even here,in a place I consider as my second homestead.
I wonder if future generations will know even the word fun .

I agree entirely. I really miss the ebots, for they made my precious little time here viable. The new system is awkward, clunky, unintuitive, and it slows me down to the point where it is becoming inviable. The powers that be here at RR should really listen to the community on this one.

yes and they say change is good. I do not think so this time. maybe from a steam car to a power muscle car is good but this is like boxers KO each other all the time , that how i feel now KO on this site

I agree Rene! I hate the daily digest idea, I prefer separate ebots. I wish they would at least give a choice digest or single ebots. I'd go with the separate ebots. Oh well, I guess they call this progress?? Excellent image and rant my friend.

Sag mir, wenn du gehst - und vor Allem - Wohin! :) Tell me when you go - and above all - Where do you go! :) As I already wrote - I could live without the e-bots, if the new notification system would be easy to handle. Pity that the admins here are ignorant.

The colour scheme suits your mood! Yes, I agree. With the ebots I would check new pictures as the ebots came in and now I find with this new system I have missed a few of my favourite artists recent offerings. I think we will all find the number of comments on our work diminishing because of the changes. And I have a suspicion that with all these changes the powers-that-be are rather more concerned with making money than pleasing their members ... So I have left another comment which echoes what many others are saying on the front page . Now, is anyone listening? Is there anyone there ... ?

This new thing really sucks. Without a way to manage the notices I will be missing and looking at ones I have already looked at. I don't not look through all notices at one time, I will do a few here at work, then some more at home. I will not remember where my stopping point was. Not only that, if you are looking though the previous day and go view an image, then click back to come back it takes you only back to todays, I have to make and extra effort to get to the later day, so if you are several days behind, you will be doing more clicking for that day. I really need to be able to delete the one I have viewed or check that I have viewed them or some system to manage it. Anyway, you image is very cool. Like how it glows red.

The most spirited and whorthwhile rant I've read in ages....the new system 'blows'...given the speed at which pictures are pulled as 'unsuitable' or a warning is sent out for improper tag's, some admins HAVE read this but NO COMMENT?? oh hang on they may not have recieved their 'digest' yet.I think this may be yet another BIG!! nail in Rendo's proverbial coffin.I think the biggest problem is lack of communication on their part.If there is a logical reason for this change " Tell us " if the either/or option is not possible "Tell us", if you don't give a flying f&^k...don't bother...we already know! Like so many I have been here so long it's hard to remember a time 'before' Rendo, saddly the time 'after' Rendo seems easier to visualise.......I hope somebody has a big boat, as it seems there may be quite a few of us setting sail very soon......... Cool image Rene, though I may have changed my mind by the time you get notification of this comment :-)

They seem to be systematically dismantling everything that is good here. The notifications were a good idea, but we should be able to choose to use them or e-bots. We want more options not less!!

hey Rene, as you know I haven't been around for nearly 2 months, so I at first was upset with the changes. I've gotten emails from friends saying a lot of people have left.... well, I get one notification of who has posted on one email... I didn't like it at first, BECAUSE if you comment on one and jump past a couple, you don't know which post you saw - there is no indication, no highlighting that post, no deletion of that post.... However, I don't have to go through all my emails and seperate them, that saves a bunch of time and when I comment and go back to the page, I can comment on the next one a lot faster.... I dislike change too bro, I really do, but I do think Renderosity is trying to make this a better, smoother exchange and less clicking from post to post.... I understand exactly what you're saying, but I think they are trying to get it right - eventually, they will discover a way that is totally logical and we'll all be impressed - give it time my friend, now pick that condom up off the floor before it oozes down onto the moderators - lol .... and damn, If I could spend #3,000 here, they better hell as well get that market place in order - It drives me crazy to look for stuff under specific names and you get a crap load of crap that has nothing to do with the key word = lol

Heh heh heh .. on the rampage! I've looked at it a wee bit, and I don't like it. No way to get rid of the notifications once you've looked at them, and you gotta go through page after page of them? Nah. Not me. So I'll just go along trying to remember who's galleries I want to visit, or just go to whoever comes to my gallery. It sucks, but hey. I really don't think threatening to leave will bother them, you'll be here to spend money, and maybe that's all they care about. So I'll post here, and at Deviant, and in the end I'll decide which system sucks less, Deviant's or Rendo's. In the meantime, this is the coolest image, full of the anger many of us are feeling. but as someone else said, I guess we'll get used to this, too.

Well I totally agree , Site Changes Suck ! ! ! ! hadn't been here in a while so it took me some time to find my way around again. Took half an hour just to locate site mail. Sheeesh ! ! ! ! ! Rene You better not leave without posting a forwarding address ! ! ! ! !

I posted my opinions and encourage others to follow suit. I believe people should be given the choice. Great thread Rene, but either way this turns out, I hope you stay. We can get through this. It's just a minor inconvenience. At least no one is shooting at us, hehehe.
