Description
For some inexplicable reason, our local Walmart Store replaced the top bench, pic captured 4/3/10, with the bottom one, captured 10/7/11. I never saw any sign of deterioration on the top bench, so it's beyond my ken why they did this. There are three benches around the entrance to the store, so, despite security, maybe someone walked, or sped, off with the first ones. I can only speculate.
ZOOM worthy.
Cheerybye, thankx for the look-see, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

The top one is easier to screw down!

The old one looks much more inviting. Great shot of an unfortunate switch haha- thanks for sharing! :) And have you checked out the Photography Story Challenge? Go continue the story!

durleybeachbum: Huh? So it would have been easier to steal than the bottom one because the top bench is screwed down? How could that be? Further elaboration is needed on your comment.

The top one looks more inviting to sit on. It seems like waste to discard a perfectly good bench but as you say it could have been nicked. Great shots, and it is amazing the variety of seats you have found.

Both shots from the same POV. Nice work Harry. I bet the new bench was made in China and the top one not. Dana

A couple of cool looking benches Harry, nice work

Hmm, inexplicable actions, Harry, but it makes for two great comparison shots. I much prefer the heavier wooden bench to the light aluminum one. And I REALLY prefer the old Rendo bot system to this new one!!!!!

I see the mesh-type in our Wal-marts. I kind of like them.

There are many different types of benches, but all serve the same purpose. Excellent shots!
