Description
Edaphosaurus (right) was a large herbivore, up to 3.5 meters (11.5 feet) long, early Permian synapsid.Fossils are known from the Permian red beds of Texas and from the Czech Republic.
Dimetrodon (left) was a carnivorous mammal-like reptile.It lived during the Early Permian Period.
Fossils have been found in North America and Europe.
