Biographical Information:
Few people in the galaxy know more about being a Jedi. Their training methods, tactics, philosophy, history, etc.
She served as a supposed assistant librarian in one of Courescants information clearing houses where Jedi/Sith knowledge and artifacts were stored. When Executive Order 66 was implemented, Ashaina was one of a small number to survive the Jedi purge. She was part of a covert, selective group of gifted individuals.
She trained in the Jedi Academy, mastering their various battle techniques and meditation techniques.
There was one small difference between her group and all other Padawans and Jedi Knights. She does not even possess rudimentary control over the Force and does not register as Force Sensitive when scanned by Imperial Inquisitors.
She and the other members of the project possess photographic and idetic memory. Every conversation, every book, every vid, every bit of information she was able to absorb, she did. Her gifts made her and her comrades components in a "living library" containing all the knowledge and experiences of the entire Jedi Order.
When Executive Order 66 was implemented, Ashaina and the others were quietly smuggled off Courescant to scattered safe locations on various worlds.
All but three of the archivists were captured or killed.
Ashaina recalled conversations about temples hidden and abandoned on the vast jungle world of Yavin 4. Since the disappearance of the ancient Massassi race, the Empire had seemed to lose all interest in the planet. To her, this would be the perfect place to withdraw and protect the knowledge she possessed. She traveled to the planet and scanned the surface for promising locations.
When she finally reached the surface, she discovered the ruins of a massive temple complex.
She followed a passage deep into the earth and discovered an ancient underground compound, carved out of the living bedrock.
With access to the entire facility restored she realized that she had uncovered the ancient, secret training arena of the Dark Jedi Enclave, the precursor to the Sith.
She quickly went about, repairing and reactivating the ancient systems, cannibalizing her own ship to uselessness in her quest to uncover the secrets hidden within the place.
She spent the next several years poring over and absorbing all the information she could glean from the ancient data base.
She has remained in the facility for almost nine years now, living in seclusion without contact with the outside universe. As a result, her grasp on reality has begun to slip and the remembered voices of the dead Jedi have become living figures, generated by her broken psyche and an unconscious desire for social interaction.
When encountered, she can usually be found, "holding court" with the other Jedi Masters, or roaming the halls and chamber, discussing past politics, Jedi history, battles, and a myriad of other subjects.
She seeks only to regain what has been lost, reseeding the galaxy with new Jedi, and reaffirming the ideals and policies of the Old Republic.
To that end, she has painstakingly recreated as much of the Jedi library as possible, dictating her entire store of knowledge into the data base of the Dark Jedi Enclave, preserving the history of the Jedi Order in the very place that had originally sworn to destroy it.
In all the years she has dwelt in that place she has had only one other visitor.
A young bounty hunter named Brayden Ayala, surmised that the remnants of the Jedi may have gone to ground, just as Ashaina had, and while scouting the system, discovered her hidden home.
Instead of completing the contract, Ayala took pity on the disturbed woman and left her in peace.
