In goblin society everyone has a position and all strive to improve their place in that pecking order. For many years the chieftains first assassin served him well, in eliminating challengers for his position. Among his kind, he is indeed an elite warrior and without peer. After dozens of successful kills against the best his tribe had to offer, the goblin assassin began to believe the tales of his exploits and truly thought he was undefeatable. Of course he understood the dangers of facing any drow, he convinced himself this young female was no threat to his great skill and challenged Shandara with courage and pride, not common among goblin kind. Blissfully ignorant, he charged Shandara, after she did not back down from his threats. He had no way of knowing a half dozen goblins matching his skill level would be sorely outmatched against this most dangerous foe. The fight lasted less than a minute, being that Shandara detected the poison on the goblins blade and was taking no chances. The chieftains guards later found the assassins body and brought him back to the tribe for a heroes buriel.
