Description

Welcome one and all to the Laboratory.... Just a few words to help understand how this came to be... But 1st.....A BIG SHOUT OUT to Sensual3D for giving me this awesome gift of the Banshi for me to fool around with.I'm very inexperienced when it comes to character art that you have to move and wrap skins around so hopefully I did you Proud for having to learn something new just to be able to use this most impressive gift/character. So with having this character my imagination went cookoo for coco puffs trying to determine the best way to use it so I went on a search and found this laboratory table @ free3dmodels.net....I have spent the better part of 2 weeks on and off with this particular scene re-adjusting and tweaking the textures/lighting until I was satisfied with what I thought was one of the most intense(both in time spent and memory hog intensive)scenes to date for me.I actually hurt my brain creating this laboratory/scene....rofl...not to mention the time it took to texture that laboratory table until it was visually correct to me.....Bryce don't like rendering certain textures....DOH! Soooo... Over the past years my 3 boys have watched my art grow/progress from what I created when I 1st joined here in 2003 to what you see today and have been riding my butt this past year telling me I need to slow my pace down and spend more time on details and such and said dad....your art is cool but you rush through them and miss things here and there and just imagine if instead of the hurry up/get it posted approach (which has been a habit of mine for years) to finally listen to my critic's and for once take a little more time and focus on the detail. So for the past 2 weeks every time I said I was satisfied they would all take their turn and comment by saying...it's cool dad but what about this?...or that?...I lost count how many times I took the scene back into Bryce and moved this or changed that..lol... So finally last night I said Ok boys....Give it to me straight....Well?.....With out missing a beat they all said..."POST IT"!!...I said your sure?...No needing anymore changes and they said nope....lol..Then of course as my oldest boy was leaving the room he muttered...."see we told you so...pays to listen to your critic's"...and with that I present you with "thee" most time spent creation I have ever created to date and from this point forward I will vow to spend more time on taking my time and less about posting something that with proper time well spent will result in more intense detail than in the past... Hope as always this finds you well and in good health and a Great Weekend to one and All!! ~Will~ Created in Bryce 7 Post Work/Lighting/Special Effects in Adobe elements 8 Banshi on loan from Sensual3D (Thank You) Laboratory Table from free3dmodels.net Old Mr. Boney from archive3d.net The rest is from yours truly...(smiles)..

You can buy Velcro shirts for your kids. It lets you hang them on the wall so you can peacefully render what you like. ;) All kidding aside, congratz to them. This is fabulous!! ")

Oh my gosh, every second spent on this was so well worth it! Bravo to you for (finally, grins) listening to what your kids have been telling. The results are simply spectacular! This is such an awesome scene, with the most awesome details, lighting, and textures! If there were truly honest awards given out, you should get one for this image, for the work that went into it, and for learning the new things you needed to know to work the new character! A big Gold Star for you!

A superb image with the most amazing effects. I always think your images look so great but I can see you have spent extra time getting this one right. Superb lighting and posing and I am glad it isn't me that is getting worked over. Outstanding work.

You should be proud, and I'm sure you are, of your kids. They offered expert advice and the results really show. Excellent attention to detail. The textures, right down to the skeleton's bones are expertly done. Great composition, lighting and nice postwork with the lightning effects. All is very believable, considering the image ;) I like the twist with the scientist on the table and the skeleton working the controls. Bravo sir, bravo.
