Love the angle you got his foot at! These are such graceful birds and I always enjoy seeing them...except when they somehow find their way through the netting over our koi pond!! Then they get picked up (actually pretty docile!) and taken out of the fenced-in yard and put on the front lawn and sent on their way. They actually don't weigh that much at all and are very soft! And as I held his head gently I looked into those beautiful eyes. Quite a remarkable creature! I feel very privileged to have actually held one of these beautiful birds! Great shot!!!

Amazing beautiful, landscape, plants and heron. A stunning capture it is, Kim. And I like that seedpods which look as triangles, I don't know which water plant it is, but they are very special to see.

WOW! What a marvellous shot and that the plants with the leaves are in the air, makes me think there is very low tide :) But maybe they just looks like that :)

When these guys land in my backyard to inspect our fish pond, I go out there and yell at them, stomp my feet, wave my arms...and they are unmoved. They are pretty brazen and brave. The Great White Egret is the same way. This is a great capture. They are really graceful birds. Wish I didn't have to shoo them away.
