Description

Another shot from the Loro Parque in Tenerife. Fortunately crocs can be happily ambushing zebras and antilopes, since shoes, bags and other items made of croc hide aren't fashionable because of animal lovers' successful campaigns. Currently, only organized crime bosses have a croc in their swimming pools or sport croc shoes. Shiny mock croc handbags are also in, so finding the right patent bag and shoe combo will not be a chore.(from PATENT POWER; Follow the latest celebrity fashion trend ... by Sunday Mail, Glasgow, Scotland). Crocs, Inc. is a shoe manufacturer founded by 3 friends - Scott Seamans, Lyndon 'Duke' Hanson, and George Boedecker, Jr.- to produce and distribute a foam clog design acquired from a Quebec company called Foam Creations. The shoe had originally been developed as a spa shoe. The first model produced by Crocs, the Beach, was unveiled in 2002 at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show in Florida. I'm writing this posting with my green Crocs on, made by a contract manufacturer in Italy, but I still can't forget Michael Douglas's croc boots in the final scenes of Romancing the Stone (1984). I can't wear those, I walk out of them! I prefer my 'serious' sandals for wading in and dry walks too. But NO socks with them(!) Super portrait!

That's how people lose their dogs around here and sometimes (luckily rarely their kids). He is a beauty though, superb shot. He's got his eye right on you too.

I say: 'what a lot of Croc!' ... To be honest, I rather be wearing a them - than me becoming part of their digestive system ! Which in itself is not very difficult to achieve here in Oz, as our tropics - Kakadu National Park or the Daintree Rain-forest, (that's near Darwin and Cairns) are full of them! When I did my apprenticeship of becoming a window-dresser/decorator, in leather-goods (the 'Y' generation calls it something else now - display manager?) I had finally advanced, after 3 years to handle Croc-leather handbags and that was a step up and I never looked back since ... so there you are, little Greenies - there is nothing more gorgeous than sporting a Croc-leather handbag or just displaying them in a shop window! I must travel one fine day to Italy and get me a pair of Croc-leather shoes ;-) Fine job on that Croc display! Sandra, BB
