Description

Red Rock Canyon Nation Conservation Area lays just a few miles off the Las Vegas Strip. From my hotel to this sign was 15-20 minutes easy drive; if I had turned around from where I took this shot the hotels and casinos of the strip were clearly visible. But instead of the neon encrusted canyons of the Strip with all its crowds, traffic and noise Red Rock Canyon is peaceful, serene and spacious. Enjoy. P.S. I forgot to mention that this is the start of a series of images from Red Rock Canyon.

Nice shot. Red Rock Canyon brings back some good memories from when I was in film school. Part of our documentary project was shot there.

Love the color of the sky. Low humidity and very good visibility. Its amazing how little time it takes to get away from the crowded cities.

I have been there at least 3 times and never get tired of seeing it.I would like to have a friend that would be willing(able) to actually climb the rock face.must be some photo opts back into the park
