This place "Sievekingplatz" is surrounded by court houses (horizontal 360 degrees, vertically 65.5 degrees, 23552px x 4109px, 59.1 MB). In the center you see the Higher Regional Court with the seat of the Hamburgian Constitutional Court. You know Hamburg is a city state and federal state of Germany. Since it's foundation about 811 (really eighthundredeleven) Hamburg is a republic. BTW #01: Every Hamburgian is so proud about the independence of his/her city that we do not accept other order medals than those of Hamburg. The Hamburgian Helmut Schmidt (former Bundeskanzler and famous smoker - LOL!) even denied to take the Great Cross Order of the Federal Republik (Bundesverdienstkreuz) - LOL! ... and in an old tradition our Head of Government is called First Major. He is only first within equals. The other members are not called minister but - also a tradition - Senator. In front of the Constitutional Court you see a memorial for the victims of the justice during the Nazi terror regime. It was made by Gloria Friedmann in 1997. At the right side you see the building of criminal justice and on the left the building of civil justice. The figure groups allegorize scientists.
