Description

This is the first piece made from the trees we had taken down a few weeks ago. Hated to loose the trees but they were diseased and about to fall on the house. I was sad until they fell and I saw the grain. Going to try to use as much as possible before it all splits too much. Way to pretty to use for firewood. This was just a small piece to see what it looked like. One happy camper here! Have a great Monday! Jen

This is absolutely beautiful. I love carved wood. I'm even investing in some hand carved crochet hooks. and I must say you really managed to capture the grain and beauty of the tree. I'm glad that it came to be something good rather then just left to waste!

How exciting! I'm sorry you lost the trees, but wow ... you'll get a lot of good pieces out of the wood. That's some really pretty stuff!

Thank mother nature for this one...lol I am very excited about how much of this we have. Some of the logs are so big I can't reach around and are about 6 feet long so hopefully I can get some large projects done finally. I have a chunk partially done that I am waiting for my quick dry trick to finish so I can do the final turn on it.

It looks beautiful. I guess you often have to sand the wood to get such a good result. The textures and patterns are beautiful. Success with the rest ;)
