Description

Buttom up :-) I found it this way and I thought it deserved to be photographed, as it was so perfect. I never turned it, so I dont know how it looked. I hope you all are having a great day and will have a beautiful week. I think this was the last nice weather day. Now stormy weather is coming. :-( Thank you so much for viewing, commenting and fav to my previous post. It is highly appreciated :)

It looks very beautiful in this way, Helle. This is (I'm pretty sure) the Saffron milk cap, also called: Red pine mushroom, which taste very fine. Perhaps this has fallen because of its weight. These fungi have a lot of moisture in them, so they are heavy in the (do you also say? :) hood.

I love gills of mushrooms! They are one of my favorite shapes in nature. I'm glad you captured this beauty, wonderfully exposed and not yet faded. Nice polka-dots on the stem too, and a beautiful color. Superb capture! Excellent detail and light. I like this a lot!
