Description

This started off as a file to work on skin and lighting, and ended up having this metaball experiment happen as well. The idea was to see how much I could pull out of Surreality's skin texture without changing the overall 'feel' of the talented work put into the set, then with AerySoul's clothing sets, I shifted the output to see if the top and skirt could look almost velvety (which sorta didn't work). I fiddled with Aiofe hair's settings, added shaders to both it and the outfit and set into lighting. An HDRI Probe I found for free online was used along with one shadow buffer spotlight, a bulb and another spot - both with raytrace values put to them. Then of course, the props-which I did nothing to, really. The metaballs came out because of the pose. I thought something should be put there- and only played with the metas once or twice so I went ahead and fiddled with those a bit. Added shaders for a water (sort of) effect. I worked on this file for about four hours tweaking, fiddling and doing rough test renders, I think. The actual render put the comp on a two day hiatus as it went about grinding through the metaballs. That water shader really didn't like it all that much. XD The only post I did was to lighten it a bit so I could see the details- the actual render was at a low setting since this was a test run. Kinda wish I did it at a higher one with a larger format so I could have picked it apart better after it was through. All in all, this was something for me to toy with and it was fun. I may have to see about getting more of that metaball work in and see what else I can come up with. There's quite a bit to work with in C8!

The lighting looks great. Surreality's textures are so flexible & respond well to lighting of all sorts. Nicely cooked up. Pass the spaghetti. ")

I really think this is interesting. The textures are so cool, and I think the fabric looks fabricy! (is that a word?) :)
