Description

While visiting the wonderful aquarium at uShaka Marine World in Durban in August this year, I was fascinated by this little boy sitting in one of the "portholes" just watching the fish swim by. I don't blame him - it is so calming that it's easy to get fixated! Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "Selling Her Goods". Hugs Carin xx

Very nice shot - I've seen kids and grown ups stare into aquarium tanks for minutes at a time.

Love to visit aquariums, and maybe it is time again to do so. The youngsters are so much fun to watch at an aquarium.

@ angora - Yes the ugly dude on the bottom is indeed a shark. I just don't know what kind!

I would be transfixed also. I love those fish things in their native environment, with portholes for easy viewing. That's far better than television! Of course, when I first saw this I thought of Captain Nemo as a kid, and now I know how all of that Captain Nemo stuff started! Brilliant shot. I love the circular frame naturally provided by that porthole. It does have that nice submarine vibe to it.
