I am not sure if this is a Mirage. The aircraft has the looks of a Mirage. If I am incorrect please correct me. Waterkloof air show series. Blessed day and week. God Bless.

This is a Hawk mate. My cousin did his training in them before moving on to the Hornets. The cockpit is apparently basically the same, and they can still pull some serious GGGGGGG"S (as you have obviously seen!!) I have never seen one in the SA colours, but then again I have never seen one from SA so that's probably why! Well done. It was a Hawk that was involved in the latest Red Arrow tragedy......unfortunately. Andrew

Thank you for the information Andrew. Funny though that they painted this hawk using the colors of the South African flag as i know that the newest fighting aircraft that we bought and receiving currently is the Gripen.

Andrew is correct, Christo, it is SAAF BAE Hawk Mk.120 of 85 Combat Flying School wearing the South African flag. I do not think that the Gripen would get this scheme, as they are used for combat - cannot afford the cost of having one just for shows! Clive
