Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

Wonderful capture of Meadow. What are the fireworks for? is there a celebration of some kind?

Wonderful capture of her! :) You can ask Mike your Vet about drops for her ears, they have ones that make it eazyer for them to deal with loud sounds like that.

Meadow is such a cutie, and I love this pic of her. I too wish people would not shoot off fireworks if there are animals around, my dogs are afraid of them also.

Adorable! We haven't heard any yet, Buster gets traumatised.

She's such a love :-) I know how she feels. Our last dog, Tex was terrified of fireworks - we even took him to the caravan which is up a mountain in Wales one year to keep him away from them! After that I vowed no other dog that lived with us would go through that and managed to quite easily desensitise Maya. Yes, they sometimes make her jump as they're so loud and occasionally she barks at them but she's not scared of them. Same with thunder !

She looks very contented!

very sweet!!! (ever tried 'Rescue Remedy' by Bach? -you want that! ;-) - great stuff, seen remarkable effects. and she wouldn't even have to swallow it if that's too much turmoil. 4 drops on the top of her head (at headchakra, ahem lol) would do -and perhaps let her sniff-, which can be repeated)

Lovely pic of Meadow, such a shame she is frightened of the fireworks, just wish people would let them off on the one day instead of weeks either side of Bonfire night, hugs and love xxxxx

Poor Meadow. How horrible they start so early. She still has about a week until it is all over. I will be thinking of her and hoping it is not too bad. One thing about being in a drought, fireworks are illegal because of the fire hazard. They are illegal in the city limits anyway, but the officials are a lot more diligent about policing it, and people are more responsible during droughts. I didn't hear any last 4th of July. Lovely girl and beautiful capture!

I absolutely hate fireworks. I used to love them, until one of my beloved dogs decided she was afraid of the noise. My B-dog is afraid too, and is so distressed when they start. Here, it seems they have fireworks for anything! Every festival ends with fireworks, be it an art show, or a harvest festival, no matter .. they simply have to do those stinking fireworks. sigh. Poor Sweet Meadow. I hope it is all over with quickly.
