Description

After running out of ideas for poses, I've been playing around more and more in Hexagon. A bit of a chore. I spent hours just making the face mask in that render up there. I exported M4's head as an .obj, and then essentially just pulled the polygons off his face that would form the shape of a mask. A lot of experimenting and welding to smooth out edges and what not. Still not sure how to inject all the base and M4++ morphs into the mask so it will fit regardless of what M4 character you stick it on. And I'm not sure how to make it conform/snap to to his face. I just scaled it and moved it in place and then parented it to his head. Be nice if I could have done a "conform to", but I haven't figured that part out yet. There's lots of nebulous info on the web about it, but it's all for old version of poser and most of it seems to assume you pretty much know quite a bit before you start. So I'm trying to figure it out, but it's slow going. Need to scour the forums, I guess. Since I'm working on a pack of poses to sell, I figured I'd throw a few props in there as well to sweeten the deal. This mask is one of them, though lord knows there's probably a thousand free ones out there already. Ah, and you'll all be pleased to know that I've trashed the "bucket chair" from the last render and made a better looking chair. I'm getting there slowly. It's fun, but the learning process is time consuming. Makes me wonder how in the world people make some of the wonderful products they make. FRAD Nemed face and body morphs (with some muscles added) PD Leo mats. The dynamic pants are a freebie that was just released in the freebies section. Love that one. In fact, I started out today trying to make low-cut pants for M4 in Hexagon. When I figure out how to do all of this stuff, M4 will get a lot more risque.

Yeah, I like the forensic details too, and how you are learning cool new stuff. The thought of being able to make the clothes you want is a great incentive! My only question is he just "The Avenger" or is he "Hot Tiger Flying Avenger" ? (Which makes him sound like an Asian hero with a weirdly translated name.)

Great image and thanks for sharing your tips. You're doing it in conjunction with Poser, and you would expect it to act seamlessly with Daz Studio. However, as you say, little seems to have been written on the subject and I more or less gave up on clothing after some less than successful attempts. If Daz is going to sell this software you would think they would back it up with decent documentation. My rant for today :)
