Nella foto di stasera un piccolo uccello di passaggio , fotografato a bocca di Serchio a Marina di Vecchiano ( PI ) . Tra qualche giorno riparte per zone più calde .

Pivieressa Pluvialis squatarola (Linnaeus, 1758)
Uccello di piccole-medie dimensioni appartenente all'ordine dei Caradriformi.
Dimensioni. Lunghezza 28-30 cm, apertura alare 59-65 cm
Aspetto. Il maschio in abito nuziale ha una colorazione bianca-grigio chiara con fitta macchiettatura nerastra nelle parti superiori. Becco, zampe, gola, guance, petto, collo anteriormente, addome e fianchi, fino alle ascelle, sono neri. Una area bianca si estende dalle spalle, assottigliandosi, fino a dietro le orecchie e come sopracciglio fino alla fronte. La femmina in abito nuziale assomiglia al maschio ma avendo le zone nere di petto, collo gola e guance screziate di bianco. Maschi e femmine sono indistinguibili in natura in abito invernale che è caratterizzato dalle parti superiori su base grigia chiara suffusa di fulvo chiaro e fitte macchiettature nerastre. Le parti inferiori sono bianco sporco con soffusa screziatura marrone sul petto. Zampe, becco e zona ascellare rimangono neri. In tutte le stagioni maschi e femmine hanno la parte terminali delle ali nerastre con una evidente barra alare bianca.
Si può osservare spesso associata in stormi con il piovanello pancianera. Si alimenta caminando sul terreno con poca acqua cercando piccoli invertebrati.
Grey Plover Pluvialis squatarola (Linnaeus, 1758)
Bird of small to medium-sized member of the order Charadriiformes.
Dimensions. Length 28-30 cm, wingspan 59-65 cm
Appearance. The male in wedding dress has a light gray-white color with a thick blackish speckles in the upper parts. Beak, legs, throat, cheeks, chest, neck before, abdomen and hips, up to his armpits, are blacks. A white area extends from the shoulders, tapering, up to behind the ears and eyebrows to the forehead. The female resembles the male in wedding dress but having the black areas of the chest, neck, throat and cheeks streaked with white. Males and females are indistinguishable in nature in winter dress that is characterized by upper parts suffused with light gray on a light fawn, dense blackish speckles. The lower parts are dirty white suffused with brown mottling on the chest. Legs, beak and underarms are blacks. In all seasons, males and females have wings blackish terminal part with a clear white wing bar.
Ecological Notes. It 'a kind typically gregarious in winter . It can be observed in flocks often associated with the dunlin. It feeds on the ground walking with a little water looking for small invertebrates.

yesterday i saw a whole composition about the environmant and i do hope we are able to save .if wework together we can achieve the goal to rescue the planet not with this panickmaking assholish politicians and lobbyists but with a generous heart and a bit of logical thinking.
