Azdubaal felt a little more confident in leaving Domna behind while he went into the city, now that Shu-shu and Koji were there too. The girl's dog was indeed a good protector and he seemed to be more well-disposed toward women than men. He'd already made fast friends with Domna. It was time to see if the crating was ready and stop by and see his old friend Bacchus. Bachhus owned the warehouse where a lot of his things were stored. They were also very old friends. They'd grown up together and covered each other's backs so many times they'd both lost count. Bacchus was not only a shrewd businessman, but a skilled fighter with a reputation for no mercy. Azdrubaal had learned much of what he knew about fighting from Bacchus. No one really messed with Bacchus, unless they were really drunk, new in town or terribly stupid...or all three. He had a real shop and not just a stall in the souks or a booth in the bazaars. When people didn't pay their warehouse rent, their goods went up for sale there. He didn't charge Azdrubaal rent for the space. "My friend! It's been awhile!" Baccus started talking the moment Azdrubaal walked in. "I heard about your ship from the Egyptian." He embraced the pilot and then backed away to check out Azdrubaal's new scar. "I also heard you took care of that bilge rat and he gave you a parting wound...yet another! I heard another thing, too. You really must fill me in. How are you!?" "Never been better, you old son of a jackal! Good to see you. Aye, he managed to get me one more time before I sent him off to Thanatos' realm. I should have taken care of him the first time. We need to talk, Bacchus. Can we go somewhere more private?" "Of course. Let me tell Dido we're leaving. We can go upstairs." "She still puts up with you?" Azdrubaal laughed. "She loves me," Bacchus smiled and shrugged. "Gods know why, but she does. Follow me!" ***** I got it fixed! There were some files in a place they shouldn't have been. They were still usable, but not where they were supposed to be. I went through the filelist.txt for Michael and put everything where it was supposed to be. I was sooo happy to finally get that all to work. Thanks for looking and your comments.
