So many faces, yet your Lady stands out perfectly, her hair alight. What a wonderful painting! I love the complexity ... everything is there that needs to be there, yet it isn't overly busy. Beautiful work, my friend.

I was first taken by the palette of honey used to create the colours of this scene. It's an interesting choice but it does create a natural looking light to this moment too which I very much like. And this moment does seem like a crowded hive of worker honey bees, each member milling about with her particular job to be done - collisions very commonplace but not destructive. And just like a hive, all this apparent chaos somehow works out so orderly. I'll bet this alley is very noisy too. Though, which amongst these ladies is the Queen? Perhaps they all are.

WOW! What a wonderful digital painting. Wonderful textures colors and light and the people and their clothes are very well done. I like the thought, that this is painted on a canvas. What a joy. :)

I can see loneliness all around. I can see la reine in between the crowd...i think that real bees are not so alone, because they have a common objective as well as the queen. Maybe la reine has a mission. I love this scene Jean, much to see and think.Thought provoking work and another great story of the alleys with great colours and light as always. Bravo Jean. One of your best.

I see you're in the running for artist of the Month = cograts. this is the first month in a long, long time I didn't recognized any of the names on the list - I'd say 70% of the winners of artists of the month this year I've known and have as a fave artist for years.... so, this month, no one owns my vote... Cause it's alphabetical order, I'm going to go down the entrees.... I'm going to look at the last three uploads of each and glance over their thumbnails.... I read "30 second painting" - damn - you're good - lol... I don't think you meant that... if this was a photo and you filtered it, I still think it'd take more than 30 sceonds - lol ...good luck on the contest.
