I'm a bit of a shy person but I'm trying to get better at my "people skills" :)
Also, I don't play the "comment trading game" just so people know.. I comment on things I like or if I feel I have something to say.. I hope I don't come off as ungrateful because of that.. I AM very grateful if people take the time to comment and look at my images, but I feel people should comment on things they like, not just because they want a comment back.
I also very much appreciate the cool products I get sent to me and I do try to use them if I feel they fit in an image, however I make no promises and some of the stuff I get sent to me isn't really "my style" and if If force myself to make an image with them anyway, it would just end up a bad image and a bad representation of the product, which I really don't want to do :)
Usually I tend to go for a bit more of a Painted look in my images and some of them might not be super realistic but I'm trying to constantly improve on my style :)
I don't care much for the "ohhhh's and Ahhhh's" type of comments.. I'm flattered if you really do like my images.. But I'm also curious as to WHY you like it.. If you like it please tell me why..and if you don't like it I would also like to know why.. After all that is what makes us get better.. the real, Honest Feedback.. Thank you!

Hi Jenni, and I know how you feel about inspiration. What helps me is to look back through the items I've collected over the years and look for things I haven't used much, or would want to try new things with now that I've learned a little more about how to use the programs. Usually, the more eclectic the collection I look through, the more interesting the final picture turns out to be. Hope this helps.

I've been in the same spot, actually. Strangely my time for art is limited and now I have a million ideas in my head. Odd how that works. LOL, almost as if my muse taunts me! I think the light and the hair in this is amazing, it would be a perfect Halloween card design. :)

Been there and you should see the waste-bin load that never makes it past my self-criticism. I will say I enjoy the pose and expression of this fine render.

Hey Jenni, thanks for sharing your work, however uninspired you might be feeling. When I was struggling with inspiration and all my days felt a bit grey and out of focus I asked a friend who is a painter what he does when he is down and out and he said he had learned that he lost his inspiration when his day to day life started getting too routine. When all his days started looking the same it was hard to find an image to create. So, every day he started to do something different, toss at least one thing new into the routine even if it was just as simple as getting a coffee somewhere different, going for a walk someplace new. Hang in there :)

It happens to everyone from time to time. This may not seem inspired to you but it sure is one very nice image! Great work, I love her expression and pose. I like the sheaves of corn too!

Sometimes I think that the pressure of being AOM, especially the aftermath, is just too much. You feel that people expect too much, maybe, and that's pressure you don't need....ever. I was reading through the comments, and one person suggested using a new prop or scene you've never used before. I've done that and it really does help....a challenge to step out of the comfort zone, so to speak. I really enjoy your art, although I don't always have time to comment, but remember you're not doing it for me or anyone but YOU, so if you're happy, that's really all that matters. After saying all that, I'll confess that it hits all of us and it's hitting me right now....burnout. If I get to that point, I just take a break, play with the grandchildren, rake leaves, clean out the closets, whatever it takes to get that inspiration back. Your ART inspires me as well as the ART of my other favorite artists....I'm so glad we have sites like this to see what others are doing and encourage each other. Don't worry, most of all, you still have it and you don't have to prove anything, anything at all. :O)
