Description

I've been struggeling with inspiration lately.. this isn't overly inspired either but just felt like I had to do "something".. I get very frustrated when everything I try turns out like crap.. so this is just something to try to get back into things again... I also wanna say sorry to people writing me msgs that I haven't responded to.. just in a very frustrated place but I promise I'll get back to you all..

Hi Jenni, and I know how you feel about inspiration. What helps me is to look back through the items I've collected over the years and look for things I haven't used much, or would want to try new things with now that I've learned a little more about how to use the programs. Usually, the more eclectic the collection I look through, the more interesting the final picture turns out to be. Hope this helps.

I've been in the same spot, actually. Strangely my time for art is limited and now I have a million ideas in my head. Odd how that works. LOL, almost as if my muse taunts me! I think the light and the hair in this is amazing, it would be a perfect Halloween card design. :)

Been there and you should see the waste-bin load that never makes it past my self-criticism. I will say I enjoy the pose and expression of this fine render.

Hey Jenni, thanks for sharing your work, however uninspired you might be feeling. When I was struggling with inspiration and all my days felt a bit grey and out of focus I asked a friend who is a painter what he does when he is down and out and he said he had learned that he lost his inspiration when his day to day life started getting too routine. When all his days started looking the same it was hard to find an image to create. So, every day he started to do something different, toss at least one thing new into the routine even if it was just as simple as getting a coffee somewhere different, going for a walk someplace new. Hang in there :)

It happens to everyone from time to time. This may not seem inspired to you but it sure is one very nice image! Great work, I love her expression and pose. I like the sheaves of corn too!

Sometimes I think that the pressure of being AOM, especially the aftermath, is just too much. You feel that people expect too much, maybe, and that's pressure you don't need....ever. I was reading through the comments, and one person suggested using a new prop or scene you've never used before. I've done that and it really does help....a challenge to step out of the comfort zone, so to speak. I really enjoy your art, although I don't always have time to comment, but remember you're not doing it for me or anyone but YOU, so if you're happy, that's really all that matters. After saying all that, I'll confess that it hits all of us and it's hitting me right now....burnout. If I get to that point, I just take a break, play with the grandchildren, rake leaves, clean out the closets, whatever it takes to get that inspiration back. Your ART inspires me as well as the ART of my other favorite artists....I'm so glad we have sites like this to see what others are doing and encourage each other. Don't worry, most of all, you still have it and you don't have to prove anything, anything at all. :O)
