BIOA few words: Ive been disabled (TB) for bulk of life. Now retired & purchased a computer three years ago (August 2002) when the word processor failed. Insisted on building it around Painter (then 7 now IX), & discovered Ultra Fractal in January 2005. Dont understand it, but thats the fun and the agony. Was always a keen amateur photographer, which mentally supported my weekend rambling. I was a member of the Regional Council of the Youth Hostels Association for a short while.
Towards the end of working life began attending various art classes and became a member of our esteemed local arts club. I regularly exhibit in their Annual Open (when the selectors allow) & nowadays resolutely enter computer art into their periodic critiques partly to overcome prejudices & to give the traditional artists some familiarity with this very different medium.
I live in Bristol UK, but am a Yorkshireman by birth.

I don't find this very halloweeny, but I do think it is a very interesting image. The figure himself appears either confused or stern, yet the colors imply a playfulness, so the contrast is quite clever to me. How extraordinary that this was created in UF. Your patience is extraordinary, as is your eye for balance...just the right amount of happy details. Now you should make a companion piece for it. I am sure displayed in the right arena, you could easily have people clamoring for prints. an aside...I've been trying to figure out why this seems vaguely familiar to me...then I realized it has in a remote way the same flavor as the Bach and Beethoven pieces I bought...you've seen them but probably don't remember. They're also a cross between whimsy and strength. Great work, Cliff.
