Description

It's really white asparagus. This was the first time I had ever seen it. When I saw it in the produce store, I HAD to buy it. It was really delicious. I just sauteed it with lemon juice, olive oil, sea salt and garlic. Thanks for stopping by, leaving comments etc. I look forward to your visits. My previous upload, "Newlyweds: Marc and Jill". Have a wonderful day, HUGS ~Melinda~

Great shot of a variety of asparagus I never heard of, Melinda. They really do look like bony fingers. Love the green variety. Don't have sea salt, can't stand garlic, but I do have lemon juice and olive oil. But doesn't sauteed mean fried?

What asparagus!? I love asparagus, but I've never had the white kind! I'll have to go looking for some now. I love it when it's lightly sauteed; I think it's the texture of it that draws me the most, as well as the taste. I like it raw or nearly raw as well, in salad. Now as for the POV and composition: Amazing! Very festive, too. The vine-fresh tomatoes are so nicely organic looking and the eggplant is a nice, darker balance to the brilliant color...the asparagus is obviously the center piece and it works perfectly: at first I thought they were shoots of another kind. This is excellently seen and perfectly presented. I like this a lot.
