Thank you so much for all your comments and faves of my previous upload, you are so kind and made me smile, you are still my best medicine dear friends. Hope today is a good one for you. hugs Jane xx Hope you like this passage from my book (still in progress) ... The boys found a place to hide, which turned out to be the courtyard of a witch's cottage. They spotted a stick with a ball of light on the end. Cats being both curious and playful began to play with the strange toy, and were mesmerised by the light and pretty patterns that erupted from it. DANGER! It was the witch's magical orb, and as they played they unwittingly created dark magic. For a moment Freddie was distracted and noticed a light from the window of the witch's cottage and a knarled nobbly hand reaching for the lamp. In the adjacent window sat the witch's cat with shining mean eyes. Before he could tell Mistapus there wasw a menacing spirit appeared from within the orb. Yikes!! with their fur bushed up, their tails twice the size, their eyes wider and dark, the boys flew from that place in a heartbeat. Some way off from that place, still wide eyed and breathless the pair hid in the long grass, affording themselves some time to catch their breath. The night was dark and still without a breath of wind, so both were startled as they heard a clock 'boom' out twelve times!!!! - and so my friends the witching hour had begun on that Halloween night! ... I used Photoshop CS4 for the image which is painted using wacom intuos3 tablet and pen. The cats are my own photography, using Finepix S5000. Please ZOOM for the detail if you have time. Marvelous image! So many fun details! I like the witch's cat looking in, the warped wood of the door and the drippy plant with two gloomy faces and eyes peering out of the mouth of one of them. Wonderful apparition coming from the orb. Excellent translucency and light, and misty vapor coming off of it. Very magical scene with lovely colors and light. Wonderful passage from your book! You write and create so well. It is going to be absolutely fantastic! I checked out Cameron's gallery and will be back there to comment next. You have a very apt pupil. It must be great fun to show him things and see him learn and create. Happy Halloween!

First of all Dear Jane, you are one fantastic teacher .. Barb had come SUCH a long way with all you are teaching her, and second .. your Grandson's work is amazing, he is learning incredibly fast! It won't be long he'll be publishing his own works! I love this Halloween scene, it has just the right amount of adorable cats, weird witchiness, and spooky skeletal evilness! Your painting is awesome, those windows are marvelous, with the lantern and gnarly hand in one and the kitty in the other. Wonderful details that add to the "fear-factor". But most of all, I love how you've gotten Mistapus all wrapped around the magic wand!

Oh those curious cats just don't get it,and always going back for more. Awesome Halloween scenery and story. The details are outstanding in zoom. Wonderful job Jane. P.S. We have 2 cats,love them both dearly and thier curiousity never fails to amuse us.
