Description
There is no point to this other than to say that I did it.
There are 100 Andy2 figures in the scene. Not composited - they were all there and all rendered at once, in Poser Pro 2012.
Each robot, while otherwise identical to the others, has a unique metal shader - no two are alike. (Although there are occasionally very similar ones.) I generated the shaders using random numbers in matmatic.
If we could zoom in, you'd see that there are minute details in each shader. All kinds of clouds, turbulence, spots, cellular, and other patterns are present. Some are dichroic, but at this distance you can't tell.
Each shader is over 100 nodes, so that's 100 shader * 100 nodes = more than 10,000 nodes altogether.
This would have been impossible six years ago.

Great googly-moogly... And this took how long to render?? I continue to be amazed at the capabilities of this new world of CG. It seems the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.... But what fun learning. This is pretty amazing. I'm going to have to look into this matmatic thingy. :-)

And the bots come marching in..... Fun image.

Great to see how poser evolves - and very nice to see how your shaders get even better. A very good demonstration, did it take long to render with all that reflections? What did you use, 4 bounces or more?

One Bounce - 90 minutes

This is amazing.
