Description

A mind-blowing stunner, captured 10/27/29, within trekking distance of where I lay my head at night. I don't know where the gentleman acquired this stuff, but it sure startles the foot traffic going by his home. Lots of postwork on this because it was shot in broad daylight. ZOOM worthy, if you dare. I don't think the puckerbutts will be able to handle this one, just like they haven't with many of my previous Halloween postings. Sure haven't gotten a lot of comments during this series, but I put in too much time and effort to just let it go. For me, it's been tons of fun. Many thanks to those who have replied and favorited these. Toodles, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

I thought that this guy was more on the funny side than scary side. I can see the amount of time and postwork that is going into these postings. People are missing out on the fun. After all it is Halloween.

I find this one scarier than the others, because it is more like a regular face that has been tortured and mutilated (and separated from its body). Great Halloween fare though. Excellent capture, postwork, and title.

I'll comment on one more of these now, because this was such a stunning series: Again, whatever the original looked like here, I can see the time & effort you put into making it a stunning digital image. I can imagine the choices you made, esp as you captured it in daylight (where these contrasts would be hard to find with the naked eye). And the angle is perfect, as is your dark-forest abstract behind. (It looks like it's from a haunted forest, postworked into a tapestry of sorts.) Re. the reception of these images: With all the 3D images on this site---which get tons of comments & fav's, no matter how good they are---I can't imagine why people haven't flocked to these images, as they're masterfully done & very slyly funny too. But it's their loss: As one who's done graphic design, I can tell you these are wonderfully done & conceived. I know what goes into being true to an original while enhancing & transforming it: It's an art, for sure. Again, a wonderful job. (So you know, I wrote these comments over several days & am cutting/pasting rather than commenting fresh, as I can't write much in one sitting, yet. And please know that I'll add fav's when my hand is better. This whole series deserves fav's.) A wonderful series, Harry...at least your loyal fans appreciate what you did. It's a great holiday, with all that 'coming back from the dead' lore, and the golden end of fall & all that bristling smiling wit. Terrific work all around.
