If it's any consolation, I can't seem to get into Halloween this year either. Had to really work at getting the post up, my heart just wasn't in it, and I wasn't happy with the result. And then we ended up not staying at the Hollow, rain in the forecast. sigh. I can see it a little in your picture .. the cat definitley isn't pleased about something, and as was suggested by naturalmystique, there is a sense of waiting .. she seems in sort of resigned mood .. I love the lighting in this one, dark, but there's light creeping in from somewhere .. beautiful.
