Description

Another Fanchone image; this time a portrait. I do believe I'm gonna start her skin shaders over. I've run multiple renders with her, and I'm not too happy with the skin yet. However, the makeups that I have tested so far on her... beautiful! Seems in the time it's been since I've worked on creating skin textures, I've improved! LOL. Its just the shaders that keep giving me fits! (and creating nails... YEESH!). BTW, under her armpit - that's her knee, not her "side-breast" LOL. yes, she's nude (easier to pose without clothing, especially sitting poses like this one), which is why it's tagged as such, but absolutely nothing is showing, so I had no hesitation in just using the image in miniature for the thumb.

Thank you, ines!!! =D Folks - it does no good for me if you comment with things like "eeewwww" and do not follow it with an explanation! If you don't like something, please say what it is that you don't like. How else am I to improve if I do not get actual feedback on what about the image, the skin/makeup/eyes, or the character that you do not like? Even if the "eeewwww" is in response to me starting the skin shaders over (for what feels like the 100th time), please state that! Again - how am I to improve without CONSTRUCTIVE feedback - even if it is about something that isn't admired? Thank you, ~meli

I like the skin a lot. This is a fantasy character, so the very bright hair and eyes fit in with that. I don't know what you are striving for with the skin, but what you have here looks good to me. I like the slight freckles and the mole next to her mouth.

Thank you, Nanette! I kept the mole (i happen to love it... dunno why, but it works on her!), but most of the freckles are gone now LOL. She's actually a two-part character - two different injects (so far)... she has both human (subtle & glam) style makeup, as well as fantasy makeup... "normal" shaded eyes and fantasy eyes... I tend to lean more to the "fantasy" style makeups - maybe because if i attempted to actually wear them RL, I'd look ridiculous, so I live out my desire through my dolls! ;) Soon as I can, I'll be posting an image with her updated shader-skin... and yes, another fantasy makeup LOL. Been debating on a tattoo option, as well... or trying my hand at some second skins... still unsure on that LOL. I really am not exactly positive WHAT my "issue" was with the shader I had created before - I was just not very happy with it... but the new one now has two overall options (AO and No AO)... and she... well, kinda shimmers nicely (yay for me figuring out spec maps!). I think maybe the problem was that in the majority of lighting I tested the old shader in - she seemed "dull" and "flat". I had to do some postwork to get her to look nice in this portrait... Back to running test renders! LOL!
