Description

*if you wish, Zoom for better view* Thank you so much for sending me this gorgeous duo! I'm sorry it took so long to get this one done, a combo of work/Halloween/fighting with poser for some reason. I love them so much. They compliment each other so well, she with her delicate beauty and his angled face just seem to make the perfect couple! I love the way they render, too - amazing skin! And the trouble I had with this was part of the gothic construction kit from Daz. I had a wall behind the couple with an arch opening and columns . For some reason everytime I rendered the columns twisted like demented candy canes in PP2012. It was so odd. Tried restarting and redoing, and deleting and adding.. moving the damned thing around, rendering it by itself and still no good! Finally I said some rather unladylike things which will not be repeated here and forgot that idea entirely. Oh, Savage_Dragon's lights on this one, part of her scary set, the Ashen ones. OMG, they are soooo versatile! I've never had lights that did so much for a picture as these. Dim Fragrance couch and throws. I adore this, already posed cloth, and I did materials work on that and the drapes behind. Love you all, working like a dog, but I made most of my retail sales goals. Yay me!

I'm so glad you like them! Anyway, nice setup here. The twisted columns? Try turning off 'smooth polygons'. Might work. Well done, sweetie! Hugz ")

Beautiful scene with Angel's lights and that amazing couple :-) It's often frustrating when things don't turn out how they are supposed to ... Great textures on the curtains too !

Had to fix a booboo with her strap, so redone plus desaturated the frame a bit, I felt it was too gold.

Gorgeous work, Delaney - this is just lovely and romantic! Another masterpiece, my friend! I think Savage_Dragon is on the money. The 'smooth polygons' setting can do some really bizaare things if checked in the render oprions.

Beautiful couple and the lighting is really great. All the props you did use are quite fitting and really nice render. I know exactly what you are saying about the Gothic Construction kit. But that's not the only older DAZ prop that does that. I have a few that are unusable in Poser, but render fine in Vue, so that's my work around. I've turned off displacement mapping and had the same negative results, but I never tried turning off smooth polygons. Frankly if I have to turn that off to get it to work, it's not worth using, because I don't want the rest of the image to suffer for some props. I'm guessing it maybe older mesh designs not working in newer programs. As soon as I went to Poser 7 some of this started to happen with some props. If you find a solution I'll be watching and listening.

I'm so sorry to hear about the struggles with the background props - and I'm quite glad I couldn't hear you swearing my dear, lol! Nevertheless, the "emergency solution" like this went out damn well... The bead curtain adds a feel of fragility to this nicely posed couple with their emotions... even if I think Nevil's left hand seems to be living its very own life.... :D Lovely render, Delaney!
