Description
This was taken at a bird rehabilitation center. There were no wounds but it could not fly. They assumed that that it was hit by a car. It was scheduled for release in the next few days. Showed front and back to show the back feathers. Zoom will not help.

Bless its heart. What an incredibly handsome creature! Owls (like cats) possess endless reserves of dignity and grace (probably from being predatory things, predators are always graceful for some reason, I guess it's because the clumsy ones don't get to eat!) I love the colors and the patterns; the colors really stand out wonderfully and there is such visual warmth to this image. I like it immensely, and it's making a trip into my favorites!
