Description

Just playing with photometric / IES lighting in Carrara 8, trying to develop additional realism / lighting skills. Been really busy again, so not much time for anything but playing. (For the Carrara-heads out there, I posted a thread on this in the Carrara forum.) My urban warrior Tanye, keeping an eye on her "new" car LOL! She'll ease up after the first bit of parking-lot rash appears LOL... I'll post another camera angle on this scene tomorrow. Thanks for looking! UPDATE: Since a few of you asked - - The car is a freebie at ShareCG - The set is Stonemason's Backstreets at Daz3D - Shaders for both tweaked/replaced by me to work better in Carrara

Excellent work! Great looking lighting! I remember using that set once, trying to get lights to shine through that lower level windows... never did happen for me, lol. I look forward to the next view.

A Karmann ghia! I love that car - the "italian" VW. I'd love to know where you found the model. Superb job on the lighting. It is completely believable.

Cool scene nice ambience achieved with the photometric lighting. nice shadows too keep playing your off to a great start!! Is by far one of the hardest things to master in any medium am still learning my self....

The scene is very realistic and the lighting looks perfect for the scene. The character somehow looks a little stiff. Maybe a more casual pose and a little more drape in the clothing. Excellent render.
