I am 58 years young, live in Johannesburg, South Africa and I'm a true product of my continent. I love the bush, the animals, sunshine, sunsets - oh well, anything to do with nature. I am unmarried and have three sons - 37, 33 and 30 respectively and three granddaugters aged 12, 6 and 4 respectively and obviously the light of my life! Photography has always been a passion and I have loved it since I can remember. I was still using a SLR camera and only switched to digital only in late 2007! My other passion is travel and I have been lucky enough to have travelled fairly widely. There are however still many, many places I would love to visit "one day." I am truly an amateur photographer and do it merely as a hobby. So please be gentle when you comment on my work. :-) Thank you Piet, my dear friend, for convincing me to place my work on Renderosity. You owe me one! Hugs, Carin xx

A really nice moment.

This is truly wonderful, but as you can guess, the warped mind of Chip came up with something a bit more...well...loopy! This is a truly wonderful and touching capture and I love the expressiveness, especially little Ciska's nicely inquisitive expression, as if she's judging just how far her father's nostrils go. Sometimes I wonder about me! But I suspect as a child, I managed quite a similar expression, probably while going: WOW. Adults have such big nostrils. You can put a lot of toys in there! I was an abnormal child.

Another chapter in the bonding between this father and daughter, as so elegantly presented in this poignantly beautiful portrait, Carin.

What a wonderful capture, Dierbaar! I just love this. The expression on her face, the light ... the whole thing is beautiful. Everything is right with her world, and it shows.

Ciska is gorgeous! As a grand father to nine - eight of them are at least 1,500 mles away - this made me cry - and I loved it.
