Description

Well, it was one hell of a storm, thousands of people without power, trees down, schools closed, banks closed, ATM's shut down,and temps in the low 30.s at night. No one had any heat, except those with wood burning stoves. So, when the power came back on in my area, the surge was too strong, and even with a surge protector and the computer totally off, it got fried. So, my daughter isn't using hers', so she lent it to me. It has been fun with the XP. I will purchase a new one,no doubt Windows seven. Lost a lot, but saved most of my fractals on thumb drives. The Fallen is a very accurate description of a "Freak??" storm. Enjoy!

Damn man sorry bout your Puter, I'll bet the HDD is OK in it, the surge probably just took out the Power Supply and maybe the Regulators, may not have even touched the Motherboard. I'd at least have the Drive checked, might be able to salvage everything, get a SATA adapter and use it as an external Drive, that's what I did when my HP fried. Peace
