Description

Harmattan is the north-west African wind carrying the Sahara desert sand all the way down the continent, mostly to the Gulf of Guinea. Thank you for honoring my daughter's images with your warm words. Nikolay

Very clever, dear Nikolay, so dark here I have had to switch the light on over the computer. Winter days, hey. Beautiful work. Hugs for all day. Di. xx

There's a poem by e.e. cummings that begins, 5/ derbies-with-men-in-them The number of men is unimportant. I love the hats!

What a motley looking crew - I would also wear a scarf over my face, with that desert wind blowing at that pit-stop! ;) Fun aside Nikolay - you really have the gift of the gab, to unfold another fine story with your unique piece of art here, Kudos BB

Superb. Herodotus cataloged a number of the North African winds: they have so many wonderfully poetic names, and I first heard of some of the more obscure ones a few years ago, and again, a few of them made appearances in The English Patient...the novel rather than the film. So, needless to say, I enjoyed your reference to Harmattan. And this image is superb. It has a wonderfully dream-like quality to it: not one of my dreams, mind you, as there are no six-legged people in it, but still, a dream, and a good one. This is quite a brilliant and wholly striking work. It's quite a visual feast, rich in subtleties.

Happy New Year ((5 + +)) J'avais reconnu cette belle Citroên . Mais ces hommes blancs avec visage noir ont pourrait penser à plusieurs choses ?? Mais bon . Ont puit voir plein de choses différentes avec des yeux de tout le monde ... Bonne Année Nouvelle ((5++))
