Soon we will be giving thanks to God, For a bountiful year shall be the reason. I welcome this special time of the year. When the heat of summer starts to fade. As the leaves turn from green to brown, In a strong northern wind they cascade. In the fields farmers harvest their crops, While storing grain for feed this winter. Children carve pumpkins as jack-o-lanterns, In costumes for treats they are enchanters. This is such a wonderful time of the year. Nature‘s glory looks like a beautiful painting. Our earth is covered in shades of brown, Orange and golden brilliance never waning. Now this autumn angel prepares all the Plants and creatures for a long winter sleep.
