Description
It was in April 2005 that I got my last ride on a 161st Air Refueling tanker. Tradition was for aircrcrew members who were retiring to have a final flight. I was not an aircrew member but for 35 years worked in the flying squadron. I got the honor to be able to have that same last flight. One of the images that I was able to capture was the building of the approaches to the Hoover Dam bypass. The dam itself is a marvel what it represents for those who built it. Hope everyone enjoys this as much as I enjoyed my last flight before retirement.

What a stunning view! I love the starkness of it and the true sense of scale. On a level, this looks almost like the kind of photography I'd expect from something in orbit, though you were considerably lower. Wonderful details and the colors are perfectly captured. Aerial photography is something I wish I did more of, but that would require actually getting up in the air, which is something I don't get to do often enough. Oh well. More of these would be welcome! This is great work.

Fantastic capture boy. You got you last flight? How come I didn't get a last flight? Seriously, it almost looks like it was taken from space!

Amazing shot - I've followed the construction of that bridge for several years - from the ground and to now see it in it's earliest stages is great. Well done.
