Description
Based off a sketch I did about six years ago and tweaked in Photoshop to honour this month's Dream theme.

Nice use of the whirlpool effect here, it really seems to draw the figure into a hidden world.

More description on the pic ;) I think the title works from a few different perspectives. One could be that dreams are usually composed of castaway thoughts, or, sometimes they are easily cast away, mostly forgotten upon waking. Another could be that the subject of the womans dream is about being castaway, her expression in the dream figure is one of loss, maybe of a lover, and she feels castaway herself. She may have co-dependency or some deep-seated fear of rejection. I have always thought her expression rather corpse like, so it could also represent a nightmare, yet, from the slight smile on her sleeping face, I doubt that this is the case. I used a monochromatic effect as I feel that most dreams follow a single colour theme (its actually been proven that you can invoke this, just work with one colour all day and see what themes your dreams take on :)).
