This photo makes perfect sense: those shoes just hatched! That's why the eggs were fresh; they were shoe eggs! This is so wonderfully-seen. I smiled at the contrast as well and the colors are so vivid and alive! This is one of those perfect, balcony-shots I really like when you make them. I would love to visit your balcony, I'm sure I'd see a lot of interesting and fun things just by looking at the street! Wonderful work. I like the visual pattern this makes.
