There is something about a sunrise like this that gives a person that certain feeling that the day is going to be good.

This is quite lovely, though at present, I dread the sight of a gorgeous sunrise as it means I'm seeing it from a truck yard in Chicago and I'm probably already one to two hours into a grueling workday. Ah, but I do see some beauties and a few of them remind me of the sorts of sunrises I'd see in Prague after a fun night shift at an eccentric hostel run by...well...the kind of guy who'd hire just the sort of cast of characters who'd work at an eccentric hostel. Yeah, I wasn't a member of a staff, I was just one of a motley assortment of characters who'd make a pretty good pirate ship crew, only there wouldn't have been very much piracy going on, just beer drinking and copious loads of oddness. But anyway, none of that has anything to do with this shot. It's a gorgeous shot and I love the clouds; they look like they're members of a fleet...okay, a rather abstract fleet of...something to be sure. Marvelous! This is great!

Well, I don't often get to see sunrises at all, let alone one as beautiful as this! If I'm on day shift, I get to work before the sun comes up. If I'm on mid-shift, I'm asleep when it comes up, and if I'm on night shift, I'm driving home at or before sunrise. And of course, on weekends, I'm lazy and sleep in! LOL!
