Description

This is a civil war painting i did for a friend and i wrote on the back "You have purpose in life...to the pulling down of strong holds. To the setting captives free' Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit say the Lord" do look better live but this the best I can do. it 24x36 inches i be getting back to the mid-evil times again soon, i just had to post this oh do you think the positive and negative is fighting each other here. positive be on the left where the cannons are and the negative is on the right where the smoke is with a little of some cannons are with some men do it look like smoke? remember all this is done with black power and it smokes a lot

I think it's brilliant, Jock! First, it's a great painting, but it does seem to represent a battle between not only men, but of positive and negative. The clearly defined figures and cannon in the lower left seem to represent positive, while the smoky, half seen details in the rest of the image can represent the unknown. It's also a good representation of what it must have been like with all the smoke from the black powder.
