I read somewhere that icthyosaurs couldn't leap out of the water like this - that their spines were structured differently - not like marine mammals - and primarily moved side to side, not up and down, so they couldn't build up the propulsion to leap. Still, not a bad fantasy image. I like the clouds a lot!
