It looks so very different from when I took a school party of 50+ there in the 70's! Wonderfully mysterious.

Twilight makes the ordinary seem mysterious. Wonderful image!

Oh, I love twilight (the time of day and not the hokey Hollywood "saga" of the same name!) There's something inherently relaxed during the twilight hours and you've captured that perfectly here. I think it's the way light and dark begin to intermingle and reveal the absolute truth that nothing is as it seems. That always seems to open up a wider range of possibilities, which--for me--is what life is all about. I love what you've captured here. Everything in this image works perfectly. I especially love the light on the water, the stuff floating on the surface of the water, giving it a nicely glassy look, as if it's glass in need of dusting, but the dust itself is an implication of something else. There's a marvelous fade to darkness near the middle horizontal of this picture, and I love the way the lit portions emerge from it, either above or below. This is brilliant! And, as always, quite elegant. For some reason, Brugge reminds me of a masculine city: a real gentleman rather than a fop or a dandy. I've only ever gotten close to feminine cities (Prague is definitely a half-crazy old lady with a mouth-full of dirty jokes. I'd like to see a masculine city too, just to see what differences exist.)

Beautiful reflective light in the water and superb composition. Lovely detail in this photo too.

This is a mastery of light, reflection and shadow. It's hard to put it in words and I feel if I tried, I would somehow diminish it (unless I'm Chipka, who is such a master with words).
