Just another struggling artist with a passion for 3D computer graphics. I was first inspired by the works of Jean Giraud (a.k.a. Moebius) of "Heavy Metal" fame, hence the tribute in my online moniker. My 3D CGI tool of choice is LightWave, but I have recently started mucking about with digital photography. Other tools include Vue Infinite and DAZ|Studio. I also work in Photoshop and CorelDraw to cover the 2D graphics stuff.
I don't have too much patience for setting up final renders, because my interests lie in modeling. "Non-organic" modeling, or "hard surface" modeling, in the sci-fi genre to be specific. So the bulk of the images in my gallery are modeling WIP's and design studies, the rest are photos and a few quick sketches. I consider myself a hobbyist, because I am still at a level where my skills definitely need a lot more improvement.
I'm an architect by training, and work as Studio Manager for an architectural/interiors design office. I was born, raised and educated in the Philippines, but am currently based in Bangkok, Thailand where I live my wife, "Kanittha", our son "Nio" and our cat "Samuel".
Thank you very much for looking up my page.

Hey, great job. Love the texture as it is. Do one thing though, put a little bevel on the pistol-grip. It looks too sharp-edged to me to feel comfortable, and it's gotta feel comfy, right?
Pistola
Looks very cool... like an overpowered military air rifle from a Gibson novel or something.
Moebius87
Thank you very much for all you comments. Thanks, pixeltek - I will modify the entire pistol grip to make it look more comfy. dick_longly - as soon as I can figure out how to model a banana clip, I'll replace this one.

Comments...you asked........did I ever mention my Pappy was a gunsmith ^_^ If a long range weapon can fire in full-Auto mode it is not, by definition, a sniper rifle. Judging from the ammo capacity on this my guess is that it is a "Battle Rifle". A large bore trooper level battle field weapon. The German G3,American M-14 and the old U.K. standard FN-FAL (all in 7.62mm/.308) are good examples of this. Sniper weapons also avoid venting to much flash or gas ....and this weapon has a perferated muzzle shroud, which means it no doubt has serious heat issues....judging from how advanced this tech is, I would say that thermal imaging tech is probably abundant ...which means this sniper would be dead meat. Also magazines mounted on top of a weapon in the real world useually indicate feed issues....or fairly large calibre. It(the top feed) like the streight pistol grip, barrel shroud, and simple stock assembly suggest a fairly rushed design and manufacture...like the Russians manufacturing and issueing weapons un-blued during the battle Stalingrad. That's how the PPSh-41 became the clinker built PPSh-43 ....just so that soldiers would have somthing that went "BANG".........okay, I'm going away now...I'm guessing this was not what you had in mind when you asked for comments ;O) Did I menttion...........this thing is cool!

Same here, I am a friend to the vast family of guns, and regardless of title, it sure looks awesome. Full auto sniper rifle is an oxymoron in and of itself, but then that's what the guys in the field could call it, just to make fun of it!
