I want to try this! ( BIG smiles!)
Took this image north of Santa Cruz by Davenport. Maximum zoom from the highway as I was on my way home from up the coast.
Have spoken with some enthusiasts just north of here at Clam beach and have learned it's not that easy. Many say taking a course is a must!, the recommended course being down in San Francisco. Equipment costs would run between 1,500 - 2,000 dollars for middle of the road quality, then there's the wet suit. I always fall for the expensive hobbies...lol, but watching these guys catching air off the breakers and zooming around makes my pulse quicken!

GO FOR IT! If they had thought of this 50 years ago little would have stopped me. We have international competions here, I will attempt to get some pics, or even better, get Crabby Cabby to do it!

And then he flew away and was never seen again. I have a few shots of this from the central California coast. This is a great action shot. Save your pennies and give it a try, or find out if they have rentals.
