Description

A technician makes some minor modifications to the fire sequencer in the port weapon nacelle of a recently arrived starfighter. The ship's owner watches from an overhead gantry while her R4 Astromech keeps a closer eye on proceedings; it's a big galaxy, and you never know for sure who you can trust... ------------------- The starfighter is a new model of mine, which as yet is unnamed - it's just identified as 'Stubby' in my folders. If you can think of a better name, let me know! The Rancor noseart is intentionally rough looking, to give it more of a handpainted feel. It was hard to get right - Rancor mouths don't lend themselves to aircraft noses in quite the way shark's mouths do. Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions are always welcome! Alex ------------------- Modelled in Wings, Textured in UV Mapper and GIMP. Figures imported from DAZ|Studio, Scene set up in Bryce. Minor postwork in GIMP (Some small corrections and curve adjustment) Credit where credit is due: Foreground figures are A3 and H3. Technician is Apollo Maximus. Astromech Droids from VanishingPoint. 'Gonk' power droid from SCI-FI 3D. The handrail and walkway are modified from an old DAZ freebie. Everything else is original.

Excellent POV and lighting. If you did the modeling than , Bravo my friend, I always have respect for anyone that does their own modeling. I do realize that it is not everyone's cup of tea. But, for the people out there that do their own modeling you know what I am speaking of. When you render something that you created from your own imagination, there is no feeling that is quite like it!!! All the best, David

I don't know how you did it, but the lighting is spectacular here, very plausible. Excellent shot, very well done. Full marks surely.
