Description
Today, we all remember and celebrate the end of World War One.
This image is dedicated to all the soldiers who fought or the ones who are still fighting for the freedom of their country or to protect the population.
This picture was taken in the American military cemetery of Saint-Avold also known as the American Lorraine Cemetery.
In this place stand 10 489 graveyards of american soldiers who died during WWII. It is the largest military cemetery of Europe.
When you enter in this place and see rows and rows of graveyards, you can only feel sad and so sorry for all these men who sacrificed themseves. You have only one question in mind "Why? What kind of madness were all these wars?"
So, let's hope that our leaders will put definitly an end to the wars all around the world, put an end to this madness and choose a peaceful option to solve problems between countries.
Let's hope for better days for humankind...
Have a great and safe day
Virginie
